Just 100 days are there for the much-anticipated 24th edition of the Dubai Marathon, preparations are well underway, and its organizers are now busy putting on the finishing touches in what promises to be another unforgettable event, in close co-operation with the Dubai Sports Council and other city departments. This marathon is scheduled for Sunday, 12 January 2025 and has since become a permanent date in the international running calendar, offering the track of three races: 4km, 10km, and, of course, the classic distance of 42.195km of a marathon. It is an event that attracts all top-tier and amateur runners who hurry to Dubai from all corners of the Earth with an aim to test themselves on the fast and flat streets of Dubai.
The race course runs over some of the most iconic features in the area along Jumeirah Beach Road, Al Sufouh and Umm Suqeim Road. For the international athlete, this race represents a much-sought opportunity to run along one of the most advanced courses in the region, helping athletes deliver personal bests and even set records. This ensures that the event is carried out quite smoothly as all the government bodies co-ordinate the event together with ensuring safety and enjoyment of participants and spectators alike.
