Dubai Grants Golden Visas to Nurses; UAE Introduces 180-Day Entry Visa for Blue Residency

Accordingly, Dubai has conferred Golden Visas on long-serving nurses, while the UAE has also introduced a Blue Visa, which gives a 10-year residence permit to individuals for their contributions towards environmental protection.

Golden Visas for Dubai Nurses

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, directed to grant Golden Visas to nurses under Dubai Health with more than 15 years of service. This honors such nurses for their commitment to the country and their major share in elevating the provision of healthcare services.

The Golden Visa was launched in 2019 as an effort from the UAE government to give a 10-year renewable residency to qualified foreign nationals who contribute significantly to the national economy and knowledge sectors. UAE Unveils Blue Visa for Environmental Change-propellers

For Nurses:

  • Must have a valid employment contract in the UAE.
  • Employed in a skilled occupation classified as level 1 or 2 by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratizations (MOHRE).
  • Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum monthly salary: AED 30,000 (exceptions possible for specific professions).
  • Proof of professional licensing if applicable.

Blue Visa Applicants:

  • Exceptional contribution toward environmental protection and sustainability.
  • Belonging to one of international organizations, companies, associations, NGOs, and famous award winners from across the globe, and distinguished activists and researchers in environmental work.
  • Applications can be submitted directly to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security or through competent authorities in the UAE for nomination.
